Do you need advice on sexual health?

Warrington Sexual Health offers free, confidential sexual health services at Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre.

This is an integrated service provided by Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

  • Quick Test Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea quick testing service (15-25yrs only)
  • Youth Advice Shop (YAS) sexual health service for under 19s
  • Help and advice following sexual assault
  • Specialist clinics (Psychosexual, BPAS, Vulvo skin clinic, HIV)

Who can use the service?

Anyone is welcome to attend the Warrington Centre for Sexual Health and you can self-refer by calling us on 01925 644202.

All services are free and completely confidential and tests are optional.

We have resources and staff who can provide extra support with any physical, sensory or mental impairment. You can self-refer or be referred to the service via your carer / support worker or friend or family.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We offer morning, afternoon and evening appointments plus some drop in sessions where appointments are not required.

Under 19’s can visit the Youth Advice Shop (YAS). This is a drop-in sexual health service and no appointment is required. This service is staffed by nurses, healthcare assistant and youth workers, with access to doctor support if required.

Our C-card Distribution Scheme is an under 25s service where a young person registers with the scheme and receives a C-card.

This allows a young person to pick up free condoms wherever they see the  C-card logo displayed. These sites are at various locations across Warrington eg colleges, youth venues and pharmacies.

Quick Test STI screening service

A new quick, confidential no fuss chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing service (providing you have no symptoms).

Available at the Youth Advice Shop and Bath Street Health & Wellbeing Centre during all clinic times.

Your test results will be with you in 7-10 days by text or phone call. If you require treatment we will arrange this too.

Access to some STI screening and condom distribution is available at other locations throughout Warrington. Call us for more information.

Emergency Contraception advice

Don’t forget emergency hormonal contraception can be given up to 72 hours after unprotected sex and is available free from all contraceptive and sexual health clinics, the Youth Advice Shop, your family doctor, Warrington Emergency Out of Hours Service and some pharmacies (even if you are under 16).

Copper coils can also be used for emergency contraception up to five days after unprotected sex – telephone 01925 644202 for advice.

You may also wish to consider having an STi test if you have had unprotected sex. Call us on 01925 644202 to book an appointment, You can also access our Quick Test service if you are under 25 years.


We use a confidential waste service for the destruction of all of our confidential waste and a confidential storage service for the storage of clinical notes.
