Our services

Orthopaedic Clinical Assessment Clinic

The service assesses patients with disorders and injuries of the neuro-musculoskeletal system; bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerve related problems.

The aim of the Orthopaedic Clinical Assessment clinic is to offer expert patient assessments, diagnostic investigations (including X-rays and MRI Scans) and determine the most appropriate course of action to improve patient’s symptoms.

Where appropriate we are also able to offer joint and soft tissue injections for certain conditions by highly qualified clinicians.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Clinic

The Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy clinic provides high quality patient care offering an evidence-based approach to our assessments and treatments.

Similar to the OCATS clinic, the MSK clinic assesses patients with disorders and injuries of the neuro-musculoskeletal system.

Patients will be referred to the MSK clinic by the referrer as it is believed that their needs will be best meet via physiotherapist led rehabilitation.

The MSK service provides a wide range of interventions such as personalised education related to the factors associated with their pain persisting, activity based rehabilitation, appropriate exercise class referral, lifestyle advice, all helping the patient to develop management strategies to help eliminate their pain or to enable the patient to get back living a more enjoyable life in the presence of manageable levels of pain.

We have highly experienced MSK Physiotherapists with a wide range of special interest areas, including Physiotherapists who have completed advanced training in treating patient’s complex back pain, chronic pain disorders, sporting injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Who can access the service?

Adults and children with orthopaedic conditions involving the neuro-musculoskeletal system: bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
