Homeless Health Team – St Helens

The Homeless Health team in St Helens work with extremely vulnerable people in our community.

They provide assistance and advice regarding health problems and signposting to relevant services.

The team work with clients who are homeless and vulnerably housed.

Based at the YMCA in central St. Helens, the team provide health and wellbeing assessments, health care advice, ongoing support and signposting & referrals into other services.

The care provided centres around health and wellbeing, putting the client at the centre of the provision.

The team aim to enable clients to access other services, gain confidence and become empowered to engage in their own self-care.

Adopting an asset based approach to health care, ultimately the team aim to ‘enable clients take control of their own health and well- being’.

Who can access the service?

Any person with health problems (physical or mental) who is currently homeless or vulnerable due to losing their home within the St. Helen’s area.

Our service can be accessed by telephone, post or email using the contact details below.

Where is the service offered?

We will visit service users at hostels, their homes or at one of our clinics.

We visit:

  • DWP
  • Probation
  • Housing Options
  • Veterans (Saints ground)
  • Helena Housing

We operate from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
