The Community Dental Network is a combined service providing community dental services for a number of North West PCT areas. These are:

• NHS Ashton, Leigh & Wigan
• NHS Bolton
• NHS Halton & St. Helens
• NHS Stockport
• NHS Tameside & Glossop
• NHS Trafford
• NHS Warrington
• NHS Western Cheshire

The network ensures community dental services are available to a combined population of over two million.

The division employs around 400 whole time equivalent staff and has an annual budget of around £9million.

Services include:

• Dental Health Surveys
• Oral Health Promotion
• Paediatric Dentistry (including Looked After Children & Youth Offending)
• Paediatric General Anaesthetic Services
• Special Care General Anaesthetic (conservation and exodontias)
• Inhalation Sedation for patients with anxiety issues
• Prison Services
• Special Care Dentistry
• Domicilliary services
• Minor Oral Surgery
• Dental Student Teaching (Dentists and Therapists)
