From breastfeeding to baby clinics and immunisations to illnesses, Health Visiting staff will be on hand to answer all your questions about child health at an exciting event taking place on 20 May at ASDA Warrington at The Cockhedge Shopping Centre.
The event is being run by registered and student health visitors based in Warrington from Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust and will run from 10am to 3pm. It is an opportunity for you to get your questions answered and learn about the advice and support available through the National Healthy Child Programme.
Julie Dobson, Registered Health Visitor and Community Practice Teacher from Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust said:
“We are delighted to be holding this event at ASDA Warrington. We are keen to help and support parents so they can ensure their children are safe and healthy. We will have a range of advice available for families on the day on issues such as breastfeeding, protecting children from serious diseases through screening and immunisation, reducing children’s chances of being overweight through healthy eating and exercise, improving children’s dental health and making sure children are prepared for school. We encourage anyone who wants more information about any of these, or any other health issue, to come along to the event and speak to one of our friendly staff.”
The day has been organised by Registered Health Visitors and the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Students (Health Visiting) with the support of ASDA, Warrington Wolves Foundation and Oral Dental Hygiene.
