The Oldham Right Start service recently spent a day at the Happiness Travelling Bar within Oldham library speaking to visitors and giving support and advice on a range of local services available within the service.
The Bridgewater team were kept busy with visitors coming to the Happiness Bar to discuss a number of topics including infant feeding, children’s oral health and volunteering opportunities in Oldham within the Right Start service.
One of the highlights of the day was a visit to the Happiness Bar by the Oldham Mayor Councillor Javid Iqbal who commented: “I am delighted to have been invited to come along to find out more about the great work the Right Start Service provides to the local community.
“They provide a vital resource of support and advice to give children the best opportunities to enjoy a happy, healthy and safe childhood”.
In addition to celebrate National Smile Month (13th May – 13th June) there were lots of free samples available to assist with children’s oral health including toothbrushes, toothpaste, feeder cups and two minute timers to aid the children with brushing their teeth for the correct length of time.
