When you apply for a job with us or start to use one of our services we may ask for some information about you. The information may be your age; whether you have a disability; whether you are married or in a civil partnership; whether you are pregnant or on maternity leave; what your race and religion are; whether you are male, female or transgender and whether you are straight, lesbian, gay or bisexual.
The information we collect is used to make sure our services meet the needs of all members of our community and that no one is disadvantaged or denied access to services or employment or discriminated against because of any of those characteristics.
The Trust works within the Data Protection Act 1998 and its own records management policies to ensure information is held securely and confidentially and not used in a way that can personally identify you.
Stonewall’s What’s It Got To Do With You booklet explains more about equality monitoring.
