The General Duty of The Equality Act 2010 requires public authorities to have ‘due regard’ to three aims – to eliminate unlawful discrimination, to advance equality of opportunity and to foster good relations. The equality analysis of services allows the Trust to demonstrate that steps are being taken to meet the above three aims.
An equality analysis is intended to focus attention on assessing what barriers service users or staff may face. These barriers could, potentially, adversely affect their health outcomes and experience of the service. From this analysis we can decide what practical actions need to be taken to minimise or eliminate these barriers.
The links below will take you to the equality analysis forms for our services in each borough. As at February 2016 we are undertaking a planned review of all forms so if the form you are looking for is not published on the relevant borough page please contact us on the number below for an update on progress.
